Spent five years growing up in Saudi Arabia and traveling around the world on summer breaks.

Prom king + queen
Yep, I sometimes forget, but my husband and I were prom king and queen.
My smartest move
Went to college pregnant. The looks and stares were frustrating, yes — but it was the best decision I’ve ever made.
Small town girl
Started life living in a small town, population under 500.
Lilly is born
The best baby ever was the best excuse ever to not go out and party all the time ;)
2000
Interior design detour
Quick semester break to test out interior design at an all-girls school in Milwaukee… went back to Marquette after one semester.
Graduated college
In four years, despite being a single mom at school. Big thanks to my college housemates for the support.
Engaged!
The end of senior year of college.
Move to Maryland
And got married.
Bought a house
Whoa baby. We have since downsized in pursuit of freedom and adventure.
Manifest my ideal job
After we moved to Maryland, I literally got hired by the consulting firm I had an application for on the refrigerator while I was going to college.
Dabbled in local theater
Loved it. Even had the lead role. My acting career has been put on hold for now though. Business and babies = priority.
Start organization development MBA
At Johns Hopkins University.
Sing “Small Town Girl”
In my karaoke debut.
Made my first $$$$
While running my business… realized this might actually work.

Born out of a fun project, this became the start of something much bigger.
2010
Audrey is born
After a miserable pregnancy, our funniest, feistiest baby #2 arrives.

Three girls for us now!
2015
Move to California
I move to California with my two youngest girls in search of the beach and joy. It worked.
Move back to Maryland
My husband’s project ended, and we moved back to Maryland to regroup with him.
2025
Move to Ethiopia
After 15 moves in two years, we enjoyed living here and traveling so much. We realized the goal we set when we started our business was happening. Freedom unlocked.

2020
CLOSED THE PHOTOGRAPHY COMPANY
For 4 months, we still had our best year ever and set the stage for tremendous growth. Moved back to the States for a bit.
2021

Freshly Implemented
The implementation incubator for entrepreneurs, and the CEO School merge into The Modern CEO, where owners can build their clear plan for growth without chaos

Move to Cote d’Ivoire
Built new wellness routines, closed the photography company, redesigned life for next evolution, solo-parenting, volunteered like it was my job.
